Subscribethanksgiving was good. i didn’t overeat or anything like that. i baked some cupcakes with the help from my nephews and nieces. have pictures, will post…later. 4 of my 5 siblings were all together, along with my parents. the other sibling didn’t show after saying she would. to be brutally honest, i just have to call her a loser. really! my nuclear family haven’t been together for over a decade and we were so close to all being in the same place. this particular family member didn’t even show for my college graduation last year when everyone else in my family came. any any ANYWAY, overall thanksgiving was good.
this week i was suppose to visit with a friend but she stood me up. she was coming to texas to visit her grandmother and we were suppose to meet up but she hasn’t contacted me at all. she said she would be in town for 5 days. no call, no text, no myspace message, no nothing. this isn’t the first time being stood up by this particular person, or the person being mia, and so at this point i should wise up about the situation. i’m getting fooled too many times here. i love the girl but this is ridiculous.
the other day i had mentioned a guy friend in not so positive terms in this blog, and my sister asked “what if he reads it?” i told her i didn’t care, and i don’t. so if i know you and i write about you in my blog just say “whatever” and deal. i promise to speak the truth about you!
been trying to think about things i am thankful for. i am thankful for a job even though it is stressing me out. my students’ writing is literally stressing me out! i borrowed a how to teach writing book from one of my co-workers that i plan to read before the weekend is up. i got to figure how to teach them writing, most of them are so below grade level, i need a game plan before my first year of teaching turns into something tragic.
i didn’t participate in black friday. i haven’t been anywhere today. first time not participating in black friday in like 5 years. i am usually one of those crazy shoppers up before dawn. i didn’t want anything and i didn’t see anything enticing enough to wake up for. my brother bought a microsoft wireless mouse for me from staples that was on sale. maybe tomorrow i’ll get out and buy something.
